Paul Hunter Classic preview

The snooker season is well up and running now, and tomorrow sees the start of the professional rounds of the season's fifth event, the Paul Hunter Classic, in Feurth, Germany. It will be the second consecutive PTC event, following Mark Selby's win at the Riga Open.

Master Of Brinkmanship Strikes Again

Mark Selby has been often described as the 'Master of Brinkmanship,' coming from behind in matches to pick up famous victories. He recently did it against Ronnie O'Sullivan for a famous world title win, and also during the Riga Open final, beating Northern Ireland's Mark Allen 4-3.

Tournament Preview: Riga Open

After a month long absence, snooker returns tomorrow with the professional rounds of the Riga Open. This will be the first European Tour event of the season, and the first ever snooker tournament to be held in Latvia.

It's regularly said that the quality of snooker is getting better and better, and if ever you needed a case to try and prove this point, look no further than the 2013/14 season. Stephen Lee - A Lesson For Snooker?

Many of you may already know the story about banned former professional snooker player, Stephen Lee. Match fixing and fraud are some of the things that have curtailed the career of the Englishman, and have left him banned from playing any professional snooker until the 12th October 2024.

Time For A Calendar Change From World Snooker?


With over a month's break between the Australian Open and the pre-qualifiers for the Riga Open, some may be wondering if World Snooker should reorganise their calendar to stop long breaks between each tournament. I will take a look at all the positives and negatives that can be taken from this lengthy break in the eyes of fans, journalists and players.

We are Sean and Daniel, two teenagers with a very keen interest in snooker. Now we have followed this up and decided to create a blog.
